A Swedish Inventor and entrepreneur, Dr. Christina Lampe-Önnerud popularly known as ‘Queen of Batteries,’ has a goal of boundless energy!
Dr. Christina Lampe-Önnerud serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Connecticut-based Cadenza Innovation, Inc. She has also founded Boston-Power, Inc. in 2005 and sold in 2012.
“Cadenza Innovation is capitalizing on its intellectual property, combined with the massive industry learning curve, advancements in manufacturing and increasingly mature supply chains, to create a very low cost approach for the packaging of lithium-ion chemistries,” Dr. Lampe-Onnerud said.
She is one of the world’s foremost authorities in battery system innovation and design. She also supports as a strategy and technology advisor to the global battery industry.
Christina has pioneered the use of lithium-ion and other materials to deliver more powerful, longer lasting, safer and cost-effective batteries for laptops, PDAs, cell phones and other electronic devices.
Dr. Lampe-Onnerud has been recognized among the 100 Top Young Innovators by Technology Review, MIT’s Magazine of Innovation.
With close to 80 patents awarded in energy storage power solutions, she has earned considerable international recognition and received a wide range of awards.

Her latest new battery invention, after four years of research, is developed for transport purposes, like cars, busses and excavators.
It can also use in electricity grids in which an increasing amount of energy is being produced locally from renewable sources.
“If our battery solution is placed in a Tesla would be able to increase mileage by 70 percent. For lower cost,” says Dr. Christina Lampe-Önnerud, reports Veckans Affärer.
Cadenza Innovation is bringing to market a low cost and high-performance technology platform for licensing to lithium-ion battery manufacturers worldwide. For more information, visit www.cadenzainnovation.com.
