Christina Lampe Onnerud – 2013 Honorary Ambassador of Dalarna
Dr. Christina Lampe-Onnerud, who was named 2013 Honorary Ambassador for Dalarna, was presented with a diploma and wooden horse in an awards ceremony at the County Governor’s mansion in Falun. In her presentation speech, Governor Maria Norrfalk noted that an Honorary Ambassador of Dalarna is expected to speak for and about the province and all its values throughout the world. A successful entrepreneur with a huge network of contacts and the whole world for her arena, Christina Lampe-Önnerud has many opportunities to do just that.
Christina Lampe-Önnerud has lived in the US for many years, but feels a strong sense of commitment to Dalarna and Ludvika where her roots are. She is the founder of the battery company Boston-Power and inventor of the first Swan-labeled lithium battery.
Honorary Ambassador of Dalarna can be awarded to expatriate individuals, Swedish or foreign, but who are related to, and maintain a strong sense of Dalarna.
