Swedes who’ve succeeded in the US business sector

Media Coverage

Despite America’s tough business climate, a number of Swedes – the latest being Stefan Larsson – have become known as leaders and entrepreneurs from across the Atlantic.  SvD Business profiles fourteen Swedish businesses/entrepreneurs that have succeeded in the United States.

Christina Lampe-Önnerud, battery inventor and entrepreneur, is Sweden’s battery queen based on her work with the company Boston Power.  Computer manufacturer Hewlett Packard became the company’s first customer, revolutionizing an entire industry.

The company brought in over $ 400 million in venture capital, employing 400 people, of which the majority were in the factory in China, and helped it reach a sizable production rate before Lampe Önnerud in 2012 handed over the company to a Chinese president.
