Market Analyst – Internship

In this internship, you will navigate the market of renewable energy value streams with a focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) as they interact within different geographies. As we talk with customers across the continental United States, one of the most commonly unknown details is the structure of the customer’s utility electricity rate and the various incentives the customer has access to when investing in renewable energy integrations. Cadenza’s challenge is to adapt to the customers geography and educate ourselves in the ways of the energy market where our customer is located all while keeping the customer engaged. The objective of this internship is to work towards understanding the plethora of different localized energy markets, programs, and revenue streams so Cadenza can better serve our potential customers as efficiently as possible in the sales process.

Corporate or research experience within as well as curriculums involving statistical analysis, market research, branding, digital marketing, data analytics, financial modeling, and/or SEO would be beneficial to mention in your application.

In this internship, you will be working closely with both our Product and Marketing/Sales teams to create tools and references that we will use for years to come. Through this process, you will learn everything there is to know about the various energy markets we may come across as we quote systems to customers across the United States. This will be crucial to optimize the company’s sales process and will be a major step in building the efficiency around getting our groundbreaking product out into the market.

Skills Required:

  • Currently enrolled in a Connecticut school and/or has a Connecticut address.
  • Is currently enrolled in or has graduated from a business or related degree.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills are a must, as you will be working with large amounts of similar data.
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ability to communicate large amounts of information in a clear concise way.
